"Consumer Reports' new data and guidelines are important for everyone but especially for gluten avoiders"

Because "gluten avoiders" are the primary demographic eating rice... (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

I know they were trying to make a joke, but come on.

Spectacular Optical @calvin

@meskarune hey, at least the trendiness makes it easier for people who actually do have problems with gluten

@calvin I think you missed the point. :P the largest demographic of people who eat rice in the US are Asians and Latinx folks. They basically just ignored the existence of all people of color and catered completely to a white audience.

Hey, how do you pronounce Latinx in Spanish?

@JordiGH It's actually sort of an english term. You pronounce it latin-eks, like Malcolm X's name. It is a gender neutral version of Latino/Latina. I pretty much only here it used in discussions of the diaspora in the US. Hispanic = people from caribean countries and central/south american countries who were previously colonized by Spain. Latinx = Hispanics + people from other caribean countries and central/south american countries who were not colonized by Spain. example: Brazil.
